The Escola de Física Contemporânea (EFC), originally called the Advanced Physics School, is an extension activity that takes place annually at the Physics Institute of São Carlos (IFSC), part of the University of São Paulo (USP). EFC's main goal is to enable talented students to gain exposure to the world of research by coming into contact with some of the country's most prestigious research groups and understanding the importance of science and technology in developing knowledge and wealth in the country. In addition, it is intended to expose students to entrepreneurship, reinforcing the important contributions that Physics' professionals can make when engaging in research associated with the industrial sector, whether inside or outside the academic environment. After a week of lectures, lab visits and workshops, students will develop and present a science project.

The Escola Avançada de Engenharia Mecatrônica (EAEM) is an academic summer program where high school seniors take classes, participate in workshops and get support from university researchers to develop and present a research project.
The main goal of EAEM is to create an environment where high school students can have a first contact with this subject and experience life at the University of São Paulo. The program aims to provide participants with better tools to make a conscious decision regarding which course they will pursue in college and which career to proceed with.

FIFE is an annual event organized by the undergraduate students at the University of Campinas Optical Society of America (OSA-SCU) that aims to disseminate the Scientific Method and concepts in Modern Physics to high school students.
During the week-long event, high school students are divided into groups to participate in theoretical classes and experiments at the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics teaching laboratories on some of the problems proposed by the organizing committee. They all involve concepts of Modern Physics that are not commonly addressed in the high school curriculum. In addition to contact with these concepts, the student will receive an introduction to the analysis and treatment of experimental data. At the end of the event, selected projects will be presented to the public.

Fórum FAAP is a MUN Conference where students are prepared to work as diplomats, representing different countries in a United Nations-modeled discussion on real-world problems that would be attached to a variety of committees within the UN. Fórum FAAP's goal is to develop students' critical thinking and citizenship, developing their knowledge of our globalized world. Fórum FAAP also offers awards to students that stand out in the competition, such as Best Delegation, Best Mediator, Honorable Mentions, etc.
Due to the crisis triggered by Covid-19, the FAAP Forum organization decided to cancel the 2020 conference. Dates for the 2021 FAAP are to be announced.

Simulação para o Ensino Medio (SiEM) is an annual conference for high school students focused on practising history subjects through organizations and committees. At this event, students will act as politicians, diplomats, activists, and military leaders in diverse historical contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to understand and live values, principles and rules and laws from each period as well as have the chance to be responsible for choosing new pathways for the history of a country, and acting in different environments.

The Brazilian National History Olympiad (ONHB) is a knowledge olympiad created by the University of Campinas in 2009. ONHB's main goal is to promote an activity that will encourage study and knowledge in the human sciences, awaken talents and aptitudes, and involve participants in constructive challenges. Students compete in groups of three (plus a faculty advisor), completing six online phases each lasting a week where students complete specific tasks and respond to questions, and a final in-person phase. At least 200 teams are invited to this final phase at the University of Campinas where they complete a written test before receiving the final results and medals.

The São Paulo Philosophy Olympiad, organized annually since 2011, consists in the completion of didactic activities of a philosophical nature based on a general theme by different schools around the state. The activities begin in the schools and culminate in a presentation at a state event, providing not a competitive environment, but rather a very collaborative and dynamic one.
The VIII Olympiad of Philosophy of the State of São Paulo is aimed at students in Elementary and Middle School and covers public and private school systems throughout the State of São Paulo.
