The members of the Committee on the American Mathematics Competitions (CAMC) are dedicated to the goal of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of our nation's youth. Spanish Robotic Olympiad

A local chapter of the World Robot Olympiad, the first stage of the Spanish Robot Olympiad is usually held in early June in each participating region, from where the best participants are selected and invited to compete at the National level. This subsequent competition is usually held around September, where once more the best participants will be selected to represent the country at the highest level, the World Robot Olympiad. The competition takes place across 3 main categories, from the narrow Football championship to open-ended innovation prompts and, oftentimes, at several levels within each category. National Geographic Bee

The National Geographic Bee is a nationwide geography competition for students in grades 4-8. It tests students' knowledge of various aspects of geography, including, cultural, physical, and political. The Bee starts out at the school level, where students compete in various questions and with school championships. After that, the winners of the school geography bees take an exam. The top 100 scorers on the exam go to the State Geography Bee, where they meet young geographers from various states. The winners of the state championships go on to the National Bee where the winners get college scholarships valued at up to $25,000.  Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 National Geographic Bee has been cancelled.  For more information visit the official website here .

Australian National Chemistry Quiz

The ANCQ is the Premium Chemical Education activity run by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. The Quiz has been in operation since 1982, growing from humble beginnings into an international event spread over 23 countries, 7 languages, 1400 schools and over 94,000 students. The quiz is not an exam but a means of promoting chemistry in schools and enthusing the students to study chemistry. Due to the wide and varied participation base, the quiz is not based on a specific syllabus, but rather the questions have been designed on a process basis so that students should be able to deduce the answer from the material supplied. Reports are also provided to teachers, so they can see how their students and school compare to others in the state or country. An initiative for the stimulus of mathematical talent run by the Royal Academy of Natural Sciences, ESTALMAT seeks to foster the talent of Spain's young mathematicians. The organisation holds various competitions, seminars, camps, and workshops over the course of the two first years of secondary schooling. Adopta una Estrella is a contest for teams of three students to compete across three categories -- one for astronomical measurement, research and documentation; another for astrophysics observation and/or experimentation; and one last for the planning of a scientific outreach campaign dealing with either topic. International Olympiad in Informatics

The International Olympiad is one of five international science olympiads that aims to stimulate interests in informatics (computer science) and information technology by hosting one of the most prestigious computer science competitions in the world. Each year, secondary school students compete in national computer science competitions to earn a spot on their respective national team of four students. The New Zealand Chemistry Olympiad is a national competition where the top chemistry students in the country compete for the chance to represent New Zealand at the Annual International Chemistry Olympiad. The program includes a selection exam into the Training Group Program. A 2nd selection exam into the Training Camp after the Training Group Program. The final part of the program is a practical training camp during the student's April school break. The final New Zealand team of 4 is selected based on the academic performance of the students during this training camp. This final team will attend the International Chemistry Olympiad in July. Participation in the NZCHO program helps to develop a greater understanding of chemistry and will assist students with their school examinations and first year university papers in chemistry. The World Scholar's Cup (WSC) is an international team academic program with students participating from over 82 countries. The competition was founded by DemiDec, in particular by Daniel Berdichevsky, DemiDec's president, in 2006. The World Scholar's Cup has attracted what it calls "a global community of future scholars and leaders", and promotes this, in that it allows participants to "discover strengths and skills you never knew you had." It focuses on bringing students from different cultures together to discuss issues and ideas relevant `today. Each World Scholar's Cup Regional Round consists of four main events: the Scholar's Challenge, Collaborative Writing, The Team Debate, and the Scholar's Bowl. In addition to these four main events, at select tournaments additional activities take place. World Schools Debating Championship

The World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) is a truly global competition for high school debaters. The Championships take place each year in a different country, hosted by a national debating body. Past venues include Peru, Qatar, Seoul, Athens, Cape Town, Bangkok, Singapore, Stuttgart, and in 2017 Denpasar, Indonesia. All the debates take place in English. Each country can submit a squad of 3-5 eligible students to debate social, moral and political issues. There are currently between 50 and 60 nations that meet annually. Science Olympiad is an American team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Over 7,800 middle school and high school teams from 50 U.S. states compete each year. U.S. territories do not compete; however, since 2012 high school teams from Japan have competed at the national tournament as unranked guests. There are multiple levels of competition: invitational, regional, state, and national. Invitational tournaments, run by high schools and universities, are unofficial tournaments and serve as practice for regional and state competitions. Teams that excel at regional competitions advance to the state level; the top one or two teams from each state (depending on the state) then advance the national level. A local chapter of the International Chemistry Olympiad, the first stage of the Spanish Chemistry Olympiad is usually held around end of year in each University District. The best 3 participants within each district go on to the National Championship, which is usually held around March, where they will face a multiple-choice test and an exam made up of problems for which the use of a simple calculator is allowed. In principle, the 4 best participants in this National phase are eligible to go on to the International Chemistry Olympiad, held around July, at the Iberian-American Chemistry Olympiad, held around September. It must be noted that Spain's participation in these has been compromised recently by governmental budgetary allocation. For more information visit here .
