The Space camp program is geared towards teaching students STEM principles, space and flight history, and how to work together in teams. Participants called "Trainees" will also experience complete simulated space missions, and learn what it really means to be an astronaut. Program instruction is aligned with the national science and math standards. The experience is framed with amidst a backdrop of mankind’s greatest technological achievements in space hardware. Trainees will have the opportunity to explore the historic artifacts housed at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
