About OIYC The Oman International Youth Cup (OIYC) is an exciting youth football tournament that brings some of the highest profile and best teams from world football to the Middle East to compete against regional teams. The tournament has four age categories, and replicates some of the existing and established formats that take place in Europe and America, in the Northern Hemisphere – but during winter – giving teams the opportunity to experience a fun and challenging event at a new time of year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring High School students to develop research skills in a chosen discipline of their interest alongside an experienced Postdoctoral Fellow.  Students will complete a small independent research project in a specific discipline that they are passionate about and will receive expert guidance from their mentor. They will work towards developing a suitable research question, design appropriate research methods and work towards the completion of an essay, report, thesis, or paper, as deemed appropriate.  Many students are fascinated by the prospect of working on a high-level research project and benefit greatly from early academic exposure. The BSME Games are the pinnacle event of the member school’s sports calendars! This event allows students across the Middle-East to compete in a variety of inter-country sports competitions. The games provide the students with a variety of sports to play, with equal opportunities between girls and boys and the chance to understand the values that are the foundation of sports. Al Mahara Diving School is a locally owned and operated dive school in the UAE. They offer various programs for learning how to dive to the experienced diver. Al Mahara Diving School has partnered with various Youth Programs which aim to educate students and children about the ocean, diving and what we can do to support this. An example of these youth programs is PADI SEAL TEAM and PADI Jr. Advance Open Water Diver Program. Founded by a Sino-Dutch couple, realizing Chinese students' lack of participation in sports, CSU Shanghai Sports United aims to promote sports awareness and training for youth in China. The following sports programs are provided: basketball, swimming, tennis, toddler sports, football, dance, etc. Weekly classes, summer boot camps and one-day intensive training programs are all available. The management team is from the Netherlands and has been teaching in many international schools in China such as YKPao, The British International School. The purpose of the Dublin Baseball Academy is to inspire and instruct young athletes with an interest in advancing their baseball knowledge and skills to the next level.  Participants will be taught the fundamental mechanics of fielding, throwing, hitting, and pitching.  In addition, participants will learn the proper way to warm up, condition, and warm down.  These skills will be emphasized through repetition with quality instruction.  

A Cross Atlantic search is on to recruit 40 participants from both sides of the pond to take on a 300 mile cycle challenge from Boston to New York in 2019, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Co-operation Ireland's peace-building work. Ride 300 miles over 5 days on a coastal route through Massachusetts, Providence, Rhode Island and Long Island starting in Boston and finishing in New York.  One of the highlights of the challenge will be taking part in Bike New York's TD Five Boro Bike Tour on the final day of cycling, a fitting grand finale to what is shaping up to be an exciting trip. What's Included in the Challenge Flights from Dublin or London to Boston and return from New York.  USA based riders will start in Boston and finish in New York and transport is not included.
