Clubes de Ciência (CdeC) is an organization that aims to promote and develop an interest in science among young people through free workshops and mentoring offered by researchers from the best universities in the world. Selected students participate in workshops focused on different themes. During the 2017 edition in Brazil, students chose between workshops on Stem Cells and Genome Editing, Combating Epidemics, Innovation and Scientific Entrepreneurship, and the Immune System. CdeC was founded in 2014 by Mexican doctoral candidates at Harvard and MIT with the goal of expanding access to high-quality science education. The project expanded to Columba, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru and since it's inception, it has impacted more than 4.500 students.
