Organized by Journalism Education Association (JEA) China, CYOC is a high-standard academic competition for high school students in China. It aims to encourage students to carry out surveys and researches in the society, to obtain valuable and in-depth findings, to make their own voices heard, and to create the influence of youth.
Since 2015, the China Youth Observation Competition has been held in Duke Kunshan University every year, inviting leaders and professors from Columbia, Northwestern, Stanford, New York University and other well-known universities, as well as well-known journalists, leaders of various cultural background and media groups to give lectures and to provide guidance.
In order to further expand the scope of competition and to help more students to participate in youth observation activities, starting from 2017-2018, the CYOC extended the competition period and presented its findings to an international panel of guest judges through an innovative online press conference.
