A community youth board works to bring together the opinions of the youth to the wider community and as the ‘voice’ for the youth.
A youth board is typically selected by a process of nomination and election or selection, and the Council works together with the youth board when making future decisions that impact both the youth and the greater community. A youth community board may also group together to discuss the interests of young people.
