Competition Skill Building

The Simulação de Organizações Internacionais (SOI) is a Model UN competition for high school and college students hosted by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) that takes place in October of each year. In this competition, students simulate the activities carried out within international organizations, acting as diplomats, heads of state, judges, specialists, cabinet members, and other roles as they negotiate and make decisions regarding global issues. This kind of event gives students the opportunity to debate topics that are of great relevance such as human rights, security, economics, the environment, etc.
