SkillSeed Mission Statement

At Skillseed, our mission is to empower ambitious and aspiring leaners by providing them with a plethora of opportunities to indulge in their interests and beyond.

Our Purpose

Avdesh has identified a challenge in today's community that he believes he can tackle through his initiative. There are many underprivileged students around the world who struggle to keep up with their studies and truly convert their passion and dedication into results. This is due to a lack of guidance, resources, and opportunity. That's why he has created a centralized platform that acts as a hub for resources to help ambitious students upskill and, most importantly, connect tutors and mentors with these students to help them achieve their goals and unlock their full potential.

We have already assembled a dedicated team of young learners who share this vision and passion for education. Together, we are working tirelessly to build and refine the SkillSeed platform, so that it can deliver the most effective resources and guidance to students around the world. 

We have also identified prospective groups in Kenya and India who could benefit from this platform directly, and we are excited to connect with them and see how we can work together to support their students and communities. 

What we are looking for:

• Communications Manager: responsible for overseeing and executing the organization's communication strategy, assisting with social media channels, drafting any releases, and coordinating external communications with members.
• Mentor Engagement Manager: responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and managing mentors for the platform, including conducting outreach to potential mentors, organizing training and orientation sessions, and monitoring and supporting mentor-mentee relationships.
• Student Engagement Manager: responsible for driving engagement and participation among student users of the platform, including developing and implementing user acquisition strategies, and tracking and reporting on user metrics (if applicable).
• Marketing and Media Manager: responsible for developing and executing the organization's marketing and media strategies, including creating and managing advertising, designing promotional materials, and building relationships with relevant media outlets.
• Subject-Specific Head of Departments: responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of educational content and resources in specific subject areas, including curriculum design, content creation, and quality assurance.
• Finance and Fundraising Manager: responsible for managing the organization's finances and working w/ communications and marketing for fundraising initiatives, including budgeting.
