The Bodega.biz is a sneaker reselling business that was birthed from my fascination with sneakers and the culture around them from a very young age. My parents had instilled in me the importance of first impressions and looking presentable. Thus, I started dabbling in the reselling market at around 14 years old to fund my incredibly expensive (and frankly hard to justify) sneaker collection. 

Now I have grown up (a little) and only buy what I like rather than what is liked by others however my love for sneakers hasn’t changed so I formally started The Bodega in 2023! 

However, Virgil Abloh, the founder of Off-White and former Artistic Director of Menswear at Louis Vuitton was a big inspiration as he was a young, black man shaking up in an industry infamous for being exlusionary and problematic. He prioritsed using his position of privilege to lift up his community and leave his mark on the world, which inspired me to donate a percentage of all profits made by The Bodega and set up an adjacent podcast where people are able to have a platform to engage with the world around them because at the end of the day, the sneaker culture isn’t about people at all but rather the people that find community in it.

• Country leader [Expand the project within your community, actively look for guest speakers that can contribute to the podcast]
• Social media manager [Mantain social media up to date, post weekly content]
• Website developer [Mantain the website with the newest stock and podcast.]
