The competition is open to teams of students of all ages from secondary schools, or home-schooled groups. Each team must comprise of a maximum of 4 students and must be mentored by a named Science, Maths or Design & Technology teacher from their school, or a home-educator.
To enter, teams must create a 5 minute film that: briefly outlines the Global Goal they have selected; describes their innovative solution; explains the science behind the idea; and illustrates how their idea would address the goal. Guidance on making and editing a film can be found on the competition webpage.
The final of the Schools Science & Innovation Competition 2020, which was due to take place on Weds 18 March, has been postponed until further notice.
The film must be submitted online, via a submission form which will be sent to all pre-registered teams.
