The Desafio Nacional Acadêmico (DNA) is the largest virtual knowledge tournament organized in Brasil each year in which teams of students work through diverse enigmas and challenges. The event aims to prepare students for the challenges of the job market, in addition to providing hours of learning and fun, while developing their creativity, leadership, team-work, decision-making and entrepreneurial spirit.
The virtual challenge includes four extra tasks, 110 challenges and a final enigma. The 110 challenges are divided into 11 areas of knowledge: environment, music, curiosities, current events, languages, history, technology, sports, logical reasoning, the law, and a surprise theme. The team that completes the greatest number of extra tasks, resolves the most challenges and vanquishes the final enigma by the deadline will be declared the winner. The winning team receives a trophy and each team member and their faculty advisor receive a BRL$1.000 gift certificate. More than 280,000 people have participated in DNA since it's inception.
