Each year Corpus Christi College Cambridge runs nationwide Politics essay competition for Year 12 students or equivalent, called the Sir Nicholas Bacon Politics and International Relations

Essays, which should be between 1,500 and 2,500 words long (including footnotes), in answer to one of the set questions, last years competition offered students 4 essay questions to choose from. 

The main focus should not be on something that has been or is currently being studied in the classroom or offered as A level coursework. A maximum of two entries per school or college is invited. There is a “pot” of £500, with a First Prize of £300. All winners and commended entrants are invited to Corpus Christi College Cambridge to tour the college, meet current students and receive a prize at a celebratory meal.

Application Process Includes

Essay entries to be be sent either by post to: The Admissions Office, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge CB2 1RH or by email to: in PDF with the file name including full students full name and the Essay Competition entered. 

All entries must be submitted with a cover sheet which are downloadable from the Corpus Christi website (linked above) under 'Essay Competitions' - this cover sheet will be available when submissions open for this year, along with the 2019 deadline. 

For 2018 the deadline fell on the 23rd of March at 5pm
