Join the ThinkSTEM Blog Team today! At ThinkSTEM, we strive to close the opportunity gap in STEM while providing engaging opportunities to disadvantaged youth! You can apply to join our team today as an editor, writer, or interviewer! Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, all year round.

Writer position expectations:

• Write engaging and compelling articles for the blog page

• Research various topics relating to STEM

• Collaborate with other writers and editors during weekly zoom calls

• Write at least 2 articles per month

• Attend monthly team meetings

Interviewer position expectations: 

• Interview various scientists and professionals in the STEM field

• Arrive at all interviews and meetings on time

• Collaborate with blog writers to publish articles based on the interviews

• Attend weekly team meetings

Editor position expectations:

• Review all finished articles prior to publication

• Offer effective feedback and suggestions to enhance content quality

• Collaborate with writers and other editors during weekly zoom calls

• Attend weekly team meetings

While there are no minimum technical skills, all applicants will need to be able to collaborate with other members of the team and willing to put in effort to produce quality material that will help the organization expand. It is a plus if the applicant has experience in the area. 

Writer: around 1-2 hours a week 

Interviewer: around 1-2 hours a week 

Editor: around 1-2 hours a week 

1. Exploring our blog and getting to know our writing style
2. Sending in your application with the link to your chosen position 
3. Our staff will get back to you within 7 days after your submission. In the meanwhile, begin brainstorming potential topics that you want to explore. Some of our more competitive positions may require interviews, so be on the watch to hear back from us.
