Volunteer online and discover new cultures [Youth, Education, Teaching]

Global Language Initiative connects active language learners with people who speak that language fluently. Students are able to cultivate their language skills while volunteers can volunteer simply by talking to someone — all online, from the comfort of their own homes! The GLI team is currently focusing on forging links between English-speaking volunteers — who want to learn about other cultures and obtain volunteer hours — and students who are improving their English language skills. After prospective participants fill out an application form and participate in an interview process, we will connect them with a conversational buddy (another teenager!) who has compatible interests.

Through international communication, volunteers will discover new cultures, and students will improve their speaking skills and learn more about different culture.
