Description

A unique 4 or 2-week summer courses. Accepted students to the USC Summer Programs will balance academic and campus life as they prepare for college in the nation’s entertainment center – Los Angeles, California - USC Summer Programs’ courses are taught by USC faculty. The 4-Week college immersion program offers high school students university experience in a subject area of their choice. Courses are interactive, engaging and challenging, allowing students to explore new areas of study or build on their high school coursework.

  1. Choose from over 20 courses in a variety of subject areas.
  2. Benefit from academic instruction and support from faculty and staff.
  3. Receive 3 units of USC elective credit upon successful completion of the 4-Week course.

Summer 2020 Eligibility Requirements
You must have completed at least the 9th grade by June 14, 2020.
You should be pursuing a rigorous high school curriculum.
You are required to attend all class meetings beginning Monday, June 15, 2020. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
You may be either a domestic or international student.

Application Process Includes

Complete and submit the online application through the application portal:

  1. Complete the 300-500 word essay written by you.
  2. Request a teacher, counselor, or mentor who can comment on your academic achievement, level of maturity, and personal integrity to complete the online letter of recommendation form.
  3. USC Summer Programs will accept official transcripts for domestic and international student applications sent to summer@usc.edu from a school official’s professional email address.  We are no longer requiring mailed official, sealed transcripts.
  4. Pay the $65 application fee.
