The National Geographic Bee is a nationwide geography competition for students in grades 4-8. It tests students' knowledge of various aspects of geography, including, cultural, physical, and political. The Bee starts out at the school level, where students compete in various questions and with school championships. After that, the winners of the school geography bees take an exam. The top 100 scorers on the exam go to the State Geography Bee, where they meet young geographers from various states. The winners of the state championships go on to the National Bee where the winners get college scholarships valued at up to $25,000.
Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, the 2020 National Geographic Bee has been cancelled.
