The Re-Draft Competition offers a unique opportunity for teenagers to become published authors. Student creative writers submit entries of any creative writing genre to be judged by the critically acclaimed and award winning New Zealand writers Tessa Duder of Auckland and James Norcliffe of Christchurch.
Winners are rewarded with the ultimate prize of publication by Clerestory Press in the annual Re-Draft writing collection, as well as a free copy of the book they are published in. The Re-Draft competition also provides students with a wealth of examples of good writing for them to learn from and discover the meaning of being "publishable", as well as the chance to engage with the skills required for becoming a writer.
