PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) is a nonprofit and NGO operating in the Kabarole district, Rwenzori region, Uganda. We advocate for the protection of children, youth, and women’s rights through the provision of prevention and multi-disciplinary intervention in investigation and information dissemination to have a healthy, violence-free society.
PLANE aims to undertake collective action for promoting general health and reproductive health awareness campaigns on family planning, HIV/AIDS, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR), education for children, and access to social and health services, among others.
PLANE was founded in 2010 and is on record with the Uganda National NGO Board (No. 10895). The organization has developed potential capacity and recognition in enhancing health promotion programs, advocacy for the protection of children’s rights, youth, and teenage mothers empowerment by caring for and improving the lives of vulnerable children.
Community Outreach Coordinator
Newsletter: The volunteers will create a weekly/monthly newsletter where they can include top news in the industry, innovation of the month /week in the industry, weekly advice for a more active lifestyle, recipe, etc.
Staying Active, remotely: The volunteers can create videos, printed sources for staying active while remotely, introducing health tips, introducing inspirational /motivational health talks, decks excises, and mental well-being advice for the adolescents for success. The final product will be shared internally and externally.
Market Intelligence Report: The volunteers will create a report relevant to the organization including trends, competitors, market size, and segmentation/forecast and satisfaction rates and it should contain analysis.
Lobby & Fundraise: The volunteers should lobby partners and organize fundraising events for health radio programs like Family Clinic weekly program and Radio Drama with the aim of increasing public awareness on health and social related issues. Fundraise for the community health outreaches
The volunteers can lobby equipment to support the teenage mothers and other needy expectant mothers for transportation to access antenatal care and referrals.
