Unpaid remote internship, 5-30 (flexible) hours per week, remote, end date flexible

This is a great opportunity for those wanting to spark change in their community, develop community organizing and policy advocacy skills, and meet other young, like-minded individuals. Interns will collaborate and communicate on a regular basis, work on a variety of tasks, and meet virtually each week. Some tasks that interns may work on include, but are not limited to:

  • Activist research projects
  • Participating in policy writing workshops
  • Writing articles about their respective local communities
  • Organizing TLG events within their respective local communities
  • Lobbying policies to political representatives
  • Volunteering for a minimum of 1-2 hours per week (depending how many hours you commit to the internship per week)
  • Creating videos for TLG campaigns
  • Taking photographs of their respective local communities for The Global Gallery
  • Creating social media content for The Local Globe’s Instagram profile

There are many opt-in projects that The Local Globe has to offer to its interns as well, including The Global Gallery for keen photographers, a podcast (currently in the works) for keen speakers, and a blog about all things TLG for keen writers.

This internship is designed to be an individualized experience, with opportunities to engage in various types of volunteering and join projects optionally depending on where your issue interests lie.

Although you set a duration for your internship at upon joining our organization, interns are invited to extend their time at The Local Globe and even potentially adopt leadership positions along the way.

Interns may complete this internship for student service hours.
