Applications open for UAE chapter of STEM Nonprofit: Sciencious_UAE

Are you a student living in the UAE who is passionate about science? Then, join Sciencious_UAE! Sciencious_UAE is dedicated to continuing the mission of Sciencious, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the wonder of STEM to the population and making STEM education accessible to underprivileged and under resourced youth.

Participants will be required to submit their application through the form. This is the only step in the application process, and the chapter president will selectively choose candidates for the job position. The application to Sciencious_UAE has a medium-level competitivity rate.

The minimum technical skill required is dependent upon the job role that is being applied for.

• Vice-president/Director of Communications/Direction of Education/National Board Representatives: They must be well-versed in communication as well as leadership. 
• Volunteer (content creator): They must have experience with video-making software (such as iMovie) and experience with photography. If possible, provide examples of videos that you have made in your resume submission.
•  Volunteer (author): They must have knowledge in diverse areas of STEM and be skilled in written forms of communication. If possible, provide examples of stories or articles that you have written, in your resume submission.
• Volunteer (tutors): They must have knowledge in diverse areas of STEM and be skilled in spoken forms of communication.
• Graphic Designer: They must be proficient in design software and web applications, including Canva and/or Photoshop. If possible, provide examples of posters/graphics/multimedia that you have designed, in your resume submission.

Generally, the individuals should be willing to dedicate 3-4 hours a week to Sciencious_UAE's cause. Every fortnight, on Fridays, chapter meetings will be held for 30 minutes to an hour.
