Volunteering/Community Service/Social Entreprenuership Skill Building

Love spending time surrounded by nature? Passionate about greenery? Then come join us on this journey towards making Singapore our City in Nature.

Whether you are a student, professional, retiree or on a study/career break, we welcome you. Volunteers are important to us, and we value the time and contributions of every one on our volunteer programme.

This partnership with our greenery enthusiasts has allowed us to accomplish much more than we could. Join us and make a difference in our nature areas and green spaces!

Choose from a wide range of volunteer opportunities:

  • Friends of the Parkslocalized communities representing active stakeholders and volunteers within the park’s ecosystem
  • Citizen ScienceParticipate in organised research efforts to survey the biodiversity around us. The data you help collect can inform decision makers and help to formulate conservation strategies.
  • Community in Bloom: Put your green fingers to good use as you maintain a garden, which includes sowing of seeds, pruning, weeding, fertilising the soil, composting and identifying and labelling plants.
  • Habitat Enhancement: Play an active role in supporting and promoting Singapore’s natural heritage by maintaining and enhancing habitats for our flora and fauna.
  • Horticulture: Work closely with our horticulturists and support them in managing the landscapes in parks and gardens. Take this opportunity to learn more about different plants and their characteristics in our green spaces.
  • Nature & Heritage Education: Be a guide in our parks and gardens, and share your knowledge on history, heritage, as well as flora and fauna with visitors.
  • Outreach & Events: Be involved in preparing for and running exciting events for the community.
  • Visitor Services: Help provide general information to visitors, respond to queries, gather feedback and manage notice boards and brochure stands.
