Description

Joining a peer leadership program in your school or local community is a common extracurricular activity for upperclassmen students who want to gain leadership experience and enjoy helping their younger peers.

Generally, peer leadership programs begin by having an orientation program for all new peer leaders. Then peer leaders will meet with underclassmen students to help them through their transition into the new school environment.

Participation in these programs can show a student's leadership skills, communication skills, and good character.

To join, find out if your school or community has a peer leadership program that you can apply to join. If not, considering starting your own by talking to your teachers.
