The National Beta Club (Beta) is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. Its purpose is "to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service among elementary and secondary students." The organization currently has more than 8,750 clubs nationally and internationally with over 500,000 active members.

Every year, more than 20,000 members attend the National Convention, a unique and energetic gathering that offers Beta members the opportunity to share project ideas and showcase their academic and leadership abilities with peers from around the globe.

Joining Beta is a great opportunity for students to gain recognization for their academic performance and to develop various academic and leadership skills. In 12th grade, Senior Beta members can apply for a National Beta Scholarship that awards over 275 students with scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 based on a number of factors, with an emphasis on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, commendable character, school and community service, as well as participation in National Beta Club activities.

To join, get in contact with the Beta club at your school or contact Beta to learn more about how to start a Beta club at your school.
