Sisters on the Runway is a national organization aimed at raising awareness and funds for women and children affected domestic violence.
The organization is represented by numerous high schools and universities in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Each branch hosts their own version of SOTR's flagship event: an annual fashion show fundraiser. Collectively, these fashion shows have raised over $50,000 that been donated to local domestic violence shelters.
Students participating in any of the branches have the opportunity to learn the importance of social responsibility by creating an exciting event open to the community at large. Sisters on the Runway also offers a format for high school and college students to start their own fundraiser.
To join, get in contact with a branch at your school.
