Green Automotive Engineering Contest
The Sasol Solar Challenge is a biennial competition. Teams from across the world design and build solar-powered vehicles to drive across South Africa.
To encourage young people to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – and to promote sustainable motoring.
The Sasol Solar Challenge notes with concern the global COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of all participants is our very highest priority. Organisers are monitoring the situation. The 2020 event has been postponed to 19 – 26 February 2021. Any changes will be communicated with teams, partners and spectators.
