It is also accredited by the College of American Pathologists for its Main Laboratory and the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank. SKMC also manages a 125-bed Behavioral Sciences Pavilion and an Urgent Care Center.

SKMC is a member of the SEHA HealthSystem, which is responsible for managing and developing public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. For further information on SEHA, please visit

Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience. Our volunteers provide crucial support and aid to the continuing mission of SKMC to set the standard of excellence in medical education, research and clinical care.
Through the generous gift of time, talents and personal interests, our volunteers supplement the work of staff members in offering many special services that are so important to patients, their families, and the hospital staff.
While there are specific volunteer benefits, the greatest award is the knowledge that you help to extend the best patient care possible to those who truly need it.
