THE COMPETITION OVERVIEW
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), one of Dubai's leading economic institutions, launched the Young Entrepreneur Event in 2005, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai to plant the seed of initiative spirit at an early age. The study of the Global Observatory of Entrepreneurship identified the social and cultural challenges and emphasized on the need to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in the new generations. The event is designed to encourage and facilitate the delivery of the idea of entrepreneurship and the trading to the youth of the future by providing a truly integrated business environment that ensures that generations of entrepreneurs are able to innovate and be creative within a participate business environment.

The participants will be given the opportunity to market their projects through the exhibition to that will be held City Walk Dubai, in order to create a participate environment between participants simulating the real world of business.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES BY AGE


GENERAL TERMS
Registration of the project on YEC Website or application of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, and reading the terms and conditions fully and abiding by them. Commitment to the implementation of the project submitted, and in case any modification was made to the project after completing the registration stage, you must inform the competition team. Commitment to attend the induction and training sessions of the competition. It is prohibited to sell food products during the competition, and will not accept projects that sell these products. Selling counterfeit products is strictly prohibited. Participants must abide by the general laws. In case of non-compliance with the general behavior Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development will take the necessary procedures to cancel the participation in the competition.
PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES BY AGE


5 to 11
YEARS OLD
Target age group is 5-11 years. Participation is available for all nationalities The number of participants in each project should not exceed two The guardian's obligation to attend or his representative to follow up the student during the competition. Obtaining parental approval in advance to participate. Filling out the registration form of the competition through the website or YEC Mobile application Children are allowed to participate only with the following talents in (painting, arts and crafts, product design, etc.) or selling products related to children. The idea of participants ​​buying and selling animals, products containing helium, activities that require heat or emit gases or related to food are prohibited. Participants are allowed to bring sponsors for their projects, but it is strictly prohibited to market or sell sponsor products or services during the carnival.

 

12 to 25
YEARS OLD
Participation is free of charge and open to all age groups between 12-25 years. Participation is available for all nationalities subject to residency in the UAE. The number of participant in each project should not exceed 4 participants, and the team leader will register the project in the application for the competition. Products are required to be viewable on the platform (Souq.com). You can check the following link to learn about the accepted activities http://uae.souq.com/ae-en/shop-all-categories/c/, except for activities in the field of Food and beverage which will not be accepted. The participant has the right to display products for registered trademarks after obtaining the prior approval of the trademark owner. The obligation to photograph the products according to the requirements of the website (attached the product photography manual) The commitment to complete the electronic registration process of the products on souq.com platform, and to provide information of the products to be displayed on the website. The commitment to provide quantities of the products to cover the demands during the period of the competition, the quantity of products available in the store of the participant on the platform should not be less than 5 pieces. The commitment to supply the products that will be displayed on the platform to the warehouses of souq.com in order to follow up the logistics after the sale of these products. The participant must complete the initial registration phase of the contest through the application. After obtaining the approval, the participant will move on to the next stage of the competition and will be able to display his products on souq.com platform. The commitment to follow-up on the project on Souq.com and ensure the sales, delivery and product evaluation. All this will be part of the final project evaluation process.
FORBIDDEN ACTIVITIES
It is prohibited to sell food and drink products during the competition. Projects that sell these products will not be accepted. Selling counterfeit products is strictly prohibited. The participant has no right displaying products for registered trademarks unless they obtain the prior approval of the trademark owner. The following projects are prohibited in the competition (selling and buying animals - activities requiring heat - activities with emitted materials - helium products )

TERMS AND CONDITIONS DURING EVENT DAY
Participation is free of charge and open to all age groups between 12-25 years. Participation is available for all nationalities subject to residency in the UAE. The participant must complete the initial registration phase of the contest through the application. After obtaining the approval, the participant will move on to the next stage of the competition and will be able to display his products on souq.com platform. Working hours and participation in the kiosks will be according to the provided timing by the YEC, this will be notified to you on later stages. The Kiosks and marketing of the competition will be provided by Dubai SME, and as a participant you must secure any other expenses themselves. Participants must take into account the external appearance to reflect the right image of the country. Participants must wear decent clothes that is not harmful to UAE customs and traditions during the exhibition. Participants should not leave their valuables in the kiosks. Dubai SME is not responsible for any lost item. A violation system will be adopted by Dubai SME for the participants. In case of non compliance with the laws and regulations, the participant will be deprived of the evaluation process of his project and will not qualify for the competition.
