Volunteer - Driver for Food Charity

  • Crimson Education
  • Waikato, New Zealand
Volunteering/Community Service/Social Entreprenuership

Description

Delivering hot, freshly cooked meals to our clients Monday to Friday between 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

Meals are collected from the hospital and delivered to clients as per the delivery list prepared by the hospital. Containers are then returned to the hospital to be cleaned and prepared for the next day's deliveries.

A reliable vehicle with current registration and WOF is a must. We can provide a contribution to petrol costs in the form of MTA vouchers which are given at the end of each roster period (every quarter of the year).

We have 12 areas of Hamilton that we deliver too, some areas are bigger than others but all meals are generally delivered before 12:30 pm.

There is no minimum amount of days you have to commit to delivering, some of our volunteers deliver meals once per week, fortnight or month. We even have volunteers who only offer their time on a casual basis as their schedules change every week. Whatever works for you.

Full induction and training are provided. We also offer our drivers a free first aid course (Save a Life) as a thank you for offering their time.

An initial interview and paper work, including police check, will be required. Police checks normally take up to 4 weeks, however we complete induction and training during this time.

If this role sounds like you then apply now!
