National Honor Society is an organisation for young people in the USA who have an excellent record across the four pillars of scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service and character. Students typically need to have committed and achieved well in each of these areas to receive their place.
This competitive society prides itself on helping the best of the next generation: with active chapters across many high schools in the USA, NHS offers scholarships, connections, discounts, internships and opportunities. National Honor Society exists to enhance academic and professional success, provide leadership opportunities and form vital connections with people and opportunities. Community service is an important section, and many chapters have a compulsory service requirement. To join, students should find the NHS chapter in their school.
