The International Young Physicists’ Tournament is an annual physics competition where students respond to open-ended research problems that are published yearly in late July. Students create and present solutions to their chosen experimental questions before defending their answers through "Physics Fights," sessions where three to four teams debate their proposed solutions at the national competition. IYPT Brasil is the national edition of the competition for high school students that will determine who will be the students forming Brazil's team attending the international stage of IYPT. The competition aims to stimulate students' interest in physics as well as develop their autonomous and critical thinking, and encourages teamwork and investigative research.
