The International Science and Technology Fair (MOSTRATEC) is an international science and technology fair that is held annually in Brazil where students exhibit their projects and scientific research, hosting more than 400 projects from Brazil and abroad. MOSTRATEC's main goal is to encourage students to engage in scientific research and develop innovative projects, speeding the process of knowledge expansion and renewing the country's research environment; encourage Brazilian high schools to adopt technical and research-focused activities; boost students' imagination and curiosity regarding science and technology; promote integration between schools, companies and research institutions; and help to spread new technologies and their applications. Competitors are eligible to receive diverse awards offered by public and private institutions in recognition of their projects.
