Each COBIS school can submit up to three entries in each age category. Many schools choose to run an internal competition first, before submitting the three top entries to the COBIS Poetry Competition. Competitors are, therefore, in many cases, competing with other winning students.

Students could spend time reading and writing poetry, but ultimately the competition comes down to submissions, which can be written quickly or take long periods of time, depending on the individual students' method and ability.
COBIS Supporting Member, Pobble, will be managing the entry process for the 2019 COBIS Poetry Competition and entries can be submitted using the Pobble online platform. Schools do not need a Pobble account to enter the competition.
Entries must be submitted by a teacher, on behalf of the students.
