UWC is a global educational movement with the mission to "make education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future". High school students go through a multi-stage, competitive selection process in their individual countries to be chosen to spend two years at one of seventeen UWC schools in seventeen different countries, completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. In addition to academics, UWC emphasizes diversity, healthy lifestyle, sustainability and practising skills like leadership, responsibility, and discipline, along with Extra-Curricular activities on each of their campuses.
