The UGO Gerhard-Wachsmann-Prize is held every two years, by the University Society Oldenburg (UGO), in memory of Gerhard Wachsmann. It includes a prize worth € 2,000 for outstanding dissertations. This UGO award honors outstanding scientific work of young members and graduates of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg. The selection is based on suggestions from professors.
