Since 1994, numerous projects have been funded for outstanding work in the fields of energy, industrial gases and sensible environmental protection. The Tyczka group has existed for over 90 years and covers their investment companies the many focal points a service-oriented energy supplier and an efficient, high-growth industrial gases company. For the fields of energy supply, industrial gases as well as services offer the individual companies competent and powerful solutions for their customers. An essential pillar of corporate activities is the distribution and trading of the energy LPG of course in conjunction with innovative engineering.

Through the Tyczka Energy Foundation in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich and the university Zittau/Görlitz in the categories of energy price or industrial gas price, consideration is given to work from universities and colleges, and university-related research institutions, that deal with environmentally friendly energy generation, supply and application employ, the focus of the energy category is in particular, working with practical or implemented energy saving concepts. The prize includes a grant of 5,000 euros. The division of the prize money is at the discretion of the jury.
