The Liebig Association for Organic Chemistry of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker eV awards the ORCHEM prize for junior scientists every two years. The prize is awarded to younger scientists who have qualified themselves through new, original and groundbreaking scientific work in the field.
The prize not only includes the coveted title, but also a grant of €5000.00. The ORCHEM prize is traditionally awarded at the ORCHEM conference and is a highly prestigious award aimed at acknowledging the work of particularly successful young scientists.

This award is granted to younger scientists who have qualified themselves by leading and conducting new, original and pioneering scientific work in their field.
The work submitted for this competition involves several years worth of conducted research (tertiary study included).
