The Sponsorship Award of the WGZ Bank Foundation is under the motto ""Act courageously - initiatives that show the way"". With this award, the WGZ Bank Foundation supports project ideas and initiatives to improve socio-political, economic or vocational education. The WGZ Bank Foundation was established in 2009 on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the former WGZ BANK.
The WGZ BANK Foundation would like to present project ideas and initiatives for the improvement of socio-political, economic or vocational training that complies with the articles of association of the WGZ BANK Foundation. This can be, for example, training in schools to improve economic and financial literacy, actions to successfully transition school-work or other projects related to economics or politics. The projects and initiatives may already be in the process of implementation or in a concrete planning status.
The WGZ Bank foundation are looking for projects and initiatives that promote, for example, the successful transition from school to work or economic and financial literacy. It does not matter if the projects are still in the planning phase or are already being implemented. Schools, funding associations, local foundations or other educational initiatives from the Rhineland and Westphalia can submit their applications.
A jury consisting of members of the board and the board of trustees of the WGZ Bank Foundation decides on the winners. The prize-giving ceremony for the promotion prize endowed with a total of €15,000 will take place at the DZ Bank Düsseldorf branch.
