Best Semester Abroad offers ten off-campus and study abroad programs around the world through the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). Participating students can explore the world outside their classroom and live an adventure in a new community, with a range of different programs and academic offerings to choose from, including:
American Studies Program
Australia Studies Centre
Contemporary Music Centre
Latin American Studies Program
L.A. Film Studies Centre
Middle East Studies Program
Northern Ireland Semester
Oxford Summer Programme
Scholars' Semester in Oxford
Uganda Studies Program
BestSemester programs are “extension campuses” for any student enrolled at a college or university that is willing to grant credit for the off-campus experience. Therefore, any student may apply. However, students enrolled in Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) member campuses have priority acceptance for BestSemester programs. Students must be enrolled full-time on a home campus during participation on a BestSemester program. A home campus certification is required for every application.

Although any student may technically apply, students enrolled in Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) member campuses have priority acceptance for BestSemester programs.
Each campus determines their student’s final billing for off-campus study. BestSemester fees, as they are billed to the home campus, are published online on their website. Each program has a Costs page that outlines BestSemester fees as well as additional anticipated expenses - fees differ for each student depending on their campus policies and student aid arrangement. That being said, one should expect to pay fees within the range of $10,000 USD - which reflects the programme's instructional fees, room and sometimes board.
Experience or relevant skills are not necessarily a pre-requisite, but a basic knowledge of languages, analytical and problem solving skills would be helpful going in to an exchange - as would an interest in global issues and overseas travel.
Exchanges typically take an entire semester (15-18 weeks).
An online application must be submitted online, including transcripts and certification forms. Admissions status notifications (i.e. accepted, waitlisted, not accepted, etc.) are sent via email two to three weeks from the posted application deadline.
