The Stanford Model United Nations Conference is a premier conference for high school students in the South Bay and Silicon Valley. The event is hosted by the Society for International Affairs at Stanford.

The conference is an opportunity for high school students to gain valuable skills in debating, negotiation and pubic speaking skills while also learning about international affairs and global issues.

The Stanford Model United Nations Conference 2020 will take place from November 13-15th.

Stanford pride themselves in being competitive but also enjoying themselves and making friends. At the end of the conference committee staff with decide awards e.g. 'Best Delegate'

Participation Cost


$80 per delegation (early registration)
$90 per delegation (regular registration)
$100 per delegation (late registration)

Optional reduced rates at surrounding hotels ranging from $150-399
For international students, there would be an approximate cost between $1500-3000, depending on which country they are from

Minimum Technical Skill Needed


Model UN is a conference where participants must discuss topics and debate about international issues. An essay is required for applications.
