New Zealand Model United Nations (also known as Model UN or MUN) is an educational academic activity offering New Zealand secondary students to learn about international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations. In the form of a conference, Model UN involves teaching participants the following skills: speaking, debating, writing, critical thinking, teamwork and leadership.

The Model UN event is held at Victoria University of Wellington over four days. The event enables students to experience a taste of life as a diplomat as they discuss significant topics for the international community. Approximately 270 individuals come together to debate and discuss global issues.

For international students, there would be an approximate cost of $1500-3000, depending on which country they are from.
