A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting public awareness about autism and increasing the quality of life for autistic children.
Operation Bubble Bursting “bursts the bubble” of social stigma against neurodiverse conditions, such as autism, by providing a safe, supportive, and fun environment for autistic students who are unfairly targeted. The organization has fought for the recognition of autistic rights and has sought to educate the public about autism’s biological determinants, bringing together heterogeneous opinions to change society’s perspective of the condition. The network of advocates for autistic rights has grown to over 300 people. Each week, volunteers devote six hours to teaching autistic children how to sing and dance. Team members scout venues across the city, secure sponsorships, and invite autism experts to speak at the events. OBB has worked with school representatives to expand projects to more than 400 students in other high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces and together build a network of autism projects in Southern Vietnam.
