New Zealand Young Scientists’ Tournament (NZYST) is a competition for young scientists to engage with challenging problems in science and participate in a ‘Science Fight’.
Being part of NZYST allows top students to challenge themselves in international science competitions. Students develop skills in scientific inquiry and tackle challenges both individually and as a team. The competition also provides students with the opportunity to present their conclusions as teams, testing their skills in team work and communication.
The competition consists of three rounds of selective Science Fights and one Final; a round-robin system is used to select the final competitors.
