University Selection Competition Volunteering/Community Service/Social Entreprenuership Performing Arts Skill Building

Manos Unidas, a Catholic NGO in the field of human rights and international development, runs this school competition for the best 70-second short on the theme of gender equality.

The intention of the initiative is to educate students on common gender inequalities.

Participants are expected to research, and reflect on, the issue, and then to work successfully as a group to shoot and edit a film project to in turn educate their peers on the subject.

Backed by Banco Santander, the competition awards the winners of the Primary- and Secondary-School categories a 1-week summer camp and educational programme on international development.

18-year-old students may compete in the main adult category.
