Every year, the EngineerGirl website sponsors a contest dealing with engineering and its impact on our world. The topic and detailed instructions for the contest are posted in the fall with a deadline for submissions early the following year. Winners are announced in the spring.
The 2020 competition involves "telling a story about a person learning to live on a new world while traveling through space."

To Enter the contest: Each grade category has different submission requirements, but everyone must submit a story that shows a person onboard the Vestigo learning something new.
