Encontro de Jovens Cientistas (EJC) is a national meeting for young students that have done any kind of research relating to the sciences or technology in the present or prior year. The winning projects qualify to present at Mostraseg, a regional fair in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

EJC aims to encourage scientific and technological vocations, identifying talented young people who can be stimulated to follow careers in these fields. Further, the fair seeks to promote the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge among young people and lead them to trade experiences about conducting scientific research during their basic education.
