Korean Young Physicists' Tournament (KYPT)

The International Young Physicists’ Tournament is an annual physics competition where students respond to open-ended research problems that are published yearly in late July. Students create and present solutions to their chosen experimental questions before defending their answers through "Physics Fights," sessions where three to four teams debate their proposed solutions at the national competition. IYPT Korea is the national edition of the competition for high school students that will determine who will be the students forming Korea's team attending the international stage of IYPT. The competition aims to stimulate students' interest in physics as well as develop their autonomous and critical thinking, and encourages team work and investigative research. World Scholar's Cup

The World Scholar's Cup (abbreviated as WSC) is an international team academic program with students participating from over 82 countries. The competition was founded by DemiDec, in particular by Daniel Berdichevsky, DemiDec's president, in 2006. The World Scholar's Cup has attracted what it calls "a global community of future scholars and leaders", and promotes that it allows participants to "discover strengths and skills you never knew you had." It focuses on bringing students from different cultures together to discuss issues and ideas relevant to today. Destination Imagination (Korea Tournament)

The standards-based challenges have both long and short-term components. In August of each year, Destination Imagination releases seven new challenges, pertaining to different subject matter areas that a team must solve. Teams then have until the date of their first tournament to work on the challenges. All challenges include a presentation portion, rehearsed or on the spot. The types of team challenges include technical, scientific, fine arts, improvisational, structural, service learning, and early learning challenges.
