The University of Canterbury (UC) Business and Law Essay Competition is a challenge aimed at Year 9-13 New Zealand students. The competition focuses on students expressing their opinions about political parties’ policies on issues affecting the economy, employment, taxation and the justice system. This is an opportunity for individuals to win some great cash prizes for themselves and their own school. There are two competitions. A Year 9-10 & Year 11-13. Within each competition there are four categories based on a topic you can study at UC Business and Law. Each category will have three placement prizes. • 1st Prize: $300 for you and $150 for your school • 2nd Prize: $200 for you and $150 for your school • 3rd Prize: $100 for you and $150 for your school Students are encouraged to start watching the news about the election, read up about political parties’ propositions, research their topics and discuss the issues at school. The Court Education Drama Classes

The Court Education is an opportunity for children and young participants to develop performance and creative thinking skills. Each class runs for 8 weeks and includes an end of term showcase. These classes are taken by professional theatre makers. All participants will learn skills in acting, voice, devising and how to work creatively as part of a group. These courses will help students develop the skills needed for the following: - Use safe and sustainable vocal techniques - Make interesting vocal choices and ways to use the breath - Use movement and physicality to create a scene - Work creatively as an ensemble As well as teaching these core acting techniques this course will also promote confidence, creativity, team work, leadership and communication skills. The Court Education Theatresports Competition
Crimson Education The Court Theatre Bernard Street, Addington, Christchurch, New Zealand
The Court Education is an opportunity for children and young participants to develop performance and creative thinking skills. Theatresports in schools is an annual competition for improvised theatre held by The Court Theatre. School teams of up to six perform scenes and games based on audience suggestions, scored by a judging panel of The Court Jesters.
